Day 21 - 7/21 - Toys!!!
If you remember from last year, I had to buy my friends little peanut a birthday present. I found a great site that had wooden toys perfect for him.
My girls are still into toys thankfully so I am constantly searching out items for them that are safe and also made here. I was in the food store the other day and I saw sand toys, of course they wanted them and my immediate answer this month is "No, it's not made here!" My little one turned and said, "Mommy it says America on it" I looked and saw the bucket and tag. I learned my lesson from my I buy USA bag - that was Made in India! I told her I was sure it was Made in China. I flipped it over and it actually said Made in USA! Wow, I never heard about them. I came home and looked at their website.http://www.americanplastictoys.com/
"American Plastic Toys has proudly manufactured safe toys in United States since 1962. We currently operate a total of five facilities in Michigan and Mississippi. Our product line includes over 125 different items ranging from a simple sand pail to a play kitchen set.
We assemble 100% of the toys in our product line in the United States. Most of the components in our products are molded in our plants or purchased from US companies."
Wow they are totally legit. They have been around since 1962. I checked what they sell and it is a lot of toys and games. They have all kinds of sand toys, toy cars, plastic snow sleds, baby carriages, wagons and even plastic kitchens. This is a great company that produces all its toys in the Michigan or Mississippi factories. You can find their products in Sears, dollar stores, Target and many other stores.
The next time you need something for a birthday try this company so you can give back!!
